Friend #1:
(laughing)

(keeps her head down, gripping her fork)

Sharra:
(gasps dramatically)

Larry, sitting a few tables away, looks up. His smile fades.

“You called her sad, lonely, and useless. You do this every day.”

The cafeteria goes silent.
Friend #2:

He turns to the room.
Larry:

“No. Just tired of your crap.”
Sharra scoffs but her confidence is slipping.

She grabs her bag and storms off. Her friends hesitate, then follow.

Bethany:
(quietly to Larry)

(softens)
“Yeah. I did.”
